It was the start of a new long term project for us today. We spent the day exploring Raby Castle planning what we are to photograph in order to completely document, (both inside and out), the castle, the grounds and the artwork within the castle.

This project is expected to last more than a year (the castle and grounds are vast) and today just about producing shot lists and planning when we would have access to the various locations.

Here’s a photo from our “photo notes”. It’s a planning shot from above the main kitchen and is being used to decide upon how the kitchen (a significant feature of the castle) is to be represented.
